As an SME business, we need to keep and eye on what is changing in the construction industry, so as we can grow and not get left behind. So his has led to utilising the youngest mind at LCM and a delve into AI. At some point in the near future, we feel that it will be possible to put in clients requirements into an AI backed program that will generate everything from artist impressions, tech drawings and even schematics that will create CNC ready plans to put in to manufacture.

AI Generated Images:

These images are just AI generated pictures of garden offices, although they are not accurate or ready to be built, they are giving us ideas such as plants and vegetation on the roof. So although we are not at the stage of being able to create your designs completely in AI, we can get some ideas that can help the fight for carbon neutral or simply additions that can help buildings blend in.

Room For Improvement:

As you can easily see, there is a lot of improvement needed, by ourselves and in the AI technology. As not one of the images or drafts we have created – probably around 500+ – are even the right width and sizes of standard shipping containers. But they do look great and something we will actively learn and make use of this exciting, yet daunting new age of computer design.
